Guests to the launch of the NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan have raised a number of ideas on how to improve transport in NSW.
The ideas will help form the discussion paper and draft NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan.
They have been summarised in a launch feedback report.
The NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan was launched at an event attended by the NSW Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian and Minister for Roads and Ports Duncan Gay.
Transport for NSW was represented by the Director General Les Wielinga, the six Deputy Directors General and other senior staff. Representatives from each of the Ministers’ Offices were also present.
The launch included a workshop session where guests sat around tables, with two senior representatives from Transport for NSW or staff from Ministers’ offices at each.
They were provided with focus questions to help prompt discussion about the future of transport in NSW over the next 20 years and how the Government should build on its current commitments. Guests were asked to also write their ideas down and to submit them before leaving.
Every comment and idea captured has been forwarded to the NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan Project Team for consideration in the development of the Plan.
