The consultation process

Over the next 12 months Transport for NSW will be consulting with key stakeholders from industry, government, business and the community to better understand our State's transport needs and to collaboratively develop a new, comprehensive plan for all modes of transport across all of NSW.

The key milestones are:

February 2012 - Transport for NSW will publish a discussion paper incorporating community and stakeholder input.

Mid 2012 - A draft NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan will be released for comment, with agreed goals and priorities for transport across the state.

November 2012 - A final Long Term Transport Master Plan will be released.

Transport for NSW has planned a range of consultation activities over the next 12 months to gather advice and give you the opportunity to have your say. These include:

Regional Forums will include key stakeholders and residents and be held in the following locations:

• Central Coast
• Central West
• Far North Coast
• Illawarra
• Hunter
• Mid North Coast
• Murray - Murrumbidgee
• New England
• Southern
• Western
• Greater Sydney.

Advisory Groups will provide an opportunity for targeted ongoing conversation to test the plan as it is developed. They will assist Transport for NSW during the development of the NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan and include representatives of customers, local government, industry, business, freight and other specialists.

Online feedback via this website will allow you to share your views and make submissions on the NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan. As consultation progresses there will be further opportunities to have your say.

Submissions to the NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan can be made at key stages in the planning process - after the Discussion Paper is released and following the release of the draft NSW Long Term Transport Master Plan.

One-on-one meetings with key stakeholders from industry, business and experts in the field will be used to obtain detailed knowledge that will inform planning.
