Tourism and Events – doubling NSW's Visitor Economy
Our target is to double tourism overnight expenditure in NSW by 2020. International and domestic visitors to NSW spend billions each year. The Visitor Economy supports one in every 21 jobs in NSW and the economic and social benefits spread across the State.
An industry-led Visitor Economy Taskforce has been established to develop a tourism and events strategy for NSW. Read about the Taskforce members and the Terms of Reference in the Tourism and Events library to the right of this screen.
Formal submissions and online comments to the Visitor Economy Taskforce have now closed. If you would like to send a late submission to the Visitor Economy Taskforce, please email it to visitoreconomy@business.nsw.gov.au. Late submissions will be accepted and considered at the discretion of the Taskforce.
Regular updates will be published on this site and in the Destination NSW's Insights newsletter. If you wish to contact the Secretariat, please send your email to visitoreconomy@business.nsw.gov.au. To stay informed about what's happening please register here.
